Copyright-

Well, this topic is kind of hard, because I do not really care about copy right..
To be honest, I download songs and put them into my mp3 player, I get movie files from my mates and do not care where they come from. Deep deep down, I have tiny little bit of concern about copyright, I think, as this is sensitive issue for business people. Copyright automatically protect someone's idea, but sometimes, it is annoying matter for users. Some of journal websites require us to join the websites or pay for journal that we need, and this is because they want to protect their idea as their property?

I support the idea of copyright, as long as users can freely access to the information and recognize of some creator's right, but it should not be too strict!
What really copyright does too us is a big questions for me. Privacy, fair use and copyright..
Different culture realizes copyright in slightly different perception?
I don't know, although copyright does exist, and users are aware of it, people still download stuff off from internet and share files.

I don't know about autonomy and copyright however, I think it will gradually change.

Maybe we need something else, second version of copyright..

Like most people, I have downloaded songs. I only do that occasionnally though. And like pretty much everyone, I have copies of CDs I didn't buy. So I do not really respect the copyright laws.
However, I still think copyright is important. If I was to spend heaps of time creating something, I'd like to be able to make some money out of it. I would not be terribly happy if anyone could use my work without me having a say about it and without me getting paid!
But yeah, some kind of balance between full copyright and public domain would be more than welcome!

yea i agree to, but i think when it comes to big corperate ideas than it is still pretty important. I think songwriters and movie producers would agree, they would prob make more money if we were unable to down load stuff, but no where near the amount of people would end up seeing their work

when it comes to 'copyright issue', most of people think of music and movie industry. I am not sure why, but I predict in the future more form of 'medium contents'?!(other than songs/movies) will have some kind of copyright issue!
In publication industry, part of some books we can access via internet, but to get a full copy of the book, we have to pay for it. (sometimes we only need bits and pieces tho..),

I agree we need something else, but i think everyone should stop fighting about it and start being proactive and maybe realise that at the moment copyright isnt working but hey im not the one losing all my money so i guess it up to them!
